Material: Stainless Steel 18/8 Type: Double butted Gauge: 14 G Diameter: D - 2.0 mm / d - 1.7 mm / D1 - 2.0 mm Length (L): 286 mm Weight: ~ 5 g 18/8 STAINLESS STEEL: 18% CHROMIUM / 8% NICKEL = THE IDEAL MATERIAL FOR MAKING SPOKES Its characteristics are: Excellent break resistance: 1160N/mm2 Excellent elasticity: 1060N/mm2 Stretching point up to 14% Corrosion resistance All of these mechanical characteristics result in the production of stable, tough and robust spokes. They are also, and this is not their only quality, perfectly suited to machine and robot wheel assembly. The stainless steel 18/8 spokes adapt to fit the stresses of torsion which they undergo and enable efficient assembly productivity. The final and most important reason to use stainless steel spokes is their strong resistance to a wet and salty environment. After 1008 hours exposure in salt chamber testing no evidence of corrosion is observed.
